The CAC’s outpatient clinic provides cognitive behavior therapy for people of all ages who have Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental disorders. They also offer family therapy and social skills training (group and individual). Staff: Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with people of all ages who have Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience who specializes in counseling and therapy for kids and adults with ASD.

Anna Shaw Children’s Institute offers Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, and Individual Therapy services by our psychology team consisting of Child Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) and Registered Behavioral Therapists (RBTs) and a Social Worker.

In the Ascending Scales music therapy program, music is utilized in a variety of evidence-based interventions to develop non-musical goals. These goals may be used to address communication, socialization, fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, attention span, behavior regulation, and emotional recognition and expression. All interventions are individualized and based on ongoing assessments and evidence-based music therapy practices. Interventions may involve playing instruments, moving to music, actively listening, playing musical games, and/or writing songs. Participants in the Ascending Scales music therapy program and their families will receive regular updates regarding progress toward goals, as well as interventions to practice at home in order to build on the skills addressed during the music therapy session.

Dr. Crittendon is a licensed clinical psychologist, Ph.D., BCBA-D, and the head of the Autism Center for Children. Her specialty is infant-toddler diagnostic early intervention with children diagnosed with autism. She sees patients up to 3 years of age. Camelot Care Centers provides the following services:
Home-based Intensive Counseling: This is provided to families struggling with behavioral, emotional and psychological needs such as depression and anxiety, defiant/disruptive behaviors, and social skills building. Counseling usually involves multiple visits per week by the family counselor to the home.
Outpatient Therapy: Clinicians provide therapy designed to assist individuals, couples, parents, and families in dealing with the difficulties that are faced in daily life. Can help children who are on the Autism Spectrum who may need support with social skills training.
Alcohol/Drug Abuse and Trauma Treatment: Counselors help families work through issues related to alcohol and drug abuse or traumas.
Group Therapy: Therapists offer support for those who otherwise believe they are alone in their struggles. Group therapy counselors are trained in trauma, informed care, and mental health issues, play therapy, and cognitive behavioral treatment.

Centerstone has locations in Chattanooga and Cleveland TN. They offer services such as, medicine management, counseling, psychiatric care, for children and adults, as well as other services. They offer outpatient therapy for children and adults. They have a psychiatric nurse practitioner who can prescribe psychiatric medication. They have Health Link (case management services) and community based services such as school-based and intensive-in-home therapy (CCFT) and they have a psychosocial program.

Dr. Jason Steadman, Psy.D., ABPP is a board-certified developmental and clinical child psychologist who provides treatment and evaluations for pediatric patients and their families, including services for anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, feeding problems, adoption, traumatic brain injury, and many others. He also provides comprehensive developmental evaluations including autism assessments. He currently accepts AETNA, BCBS, Tricare, Healthscope, and EHN.

Health Connect's Intensive In-Home Services provide trauma-informed mental health services to at-risk children, adolescents, and families, including those with significant behavior challenges. In-Home services can include, but are not limited to: crisis intervention and treatment, individual and family counseling, communication skills, case management activities, and coordination with other services. Intensive In-Home Services are provided three times per week for 4-16 weeks. This program serves families with children ages 3-18. Click here for more information.
Outpatient Mental Health Services offer support and treatment to individuals who are experiencing mental health symptoms, including those with co-occurring disorders. This program is created to be strength-focused and recovery-oriented. They offer treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Click here for more information.

Outpatient Mental Health Services for Children and Adults – These are provided for individuals with a mental health diagnosis who have significant impairment in functioning. These therapy sessions are tailored to the needs of the client. TennCare, Cover Kids, and most Commercial Insurance Policies are accepted.
Outpatient Therapy Services at Red Bank High School – Provides school-based mental health services at Red Bank High School. This is for children/youth residing in the Red Bank community. Clients do not have to attend Red Bank High School and can meet with the therapist after school hours at RBH.
Trauma Informed Counseling Services – A Trauma Informed Therapist provides individual trauma informed psychotherapy to clients aged 3-21 who have had a traumatic experience..

Journey Psychotherapy Center has 17 clinicians in Chattanooga and 4 in Cleveland who provide therapy/counseling services for individuals ages 2 through adults who need support with a variety of mental health issues. We also serve couples, groups, and families. Several of our clinicians have years of experience providing therapy for Autistic individuals and utilize a variety of therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Floortime/DIR Model. Hannah Holtcamp, M.A. provides Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for children ages 2-9 and their families. Dr. Ashley Howell specializes in anxiety disorders, including OCD. Karen Chambless, M.A. has significant experience with Autistic and anxious young adults. Some of Journey's licensed clinicians accept BCBS for therapy, and our cash pay rates are based on household income and education/experience of the clinician. The Mental Health Cooperative (MHC), a local non-profit, serves children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with emotional/behavioral issues as well as Autism Spectrum challenges. MHC provides:

Omni Community Health is a full-service, statewide behavioral health organization helping to heal children and adults, ages 2 to 92.
Community-Based Services: Bachelor's and Master's level clinicians meet with clients where they need them most, linking to resources and providing support. Includes CCFT, intensive in-home services, therapeutic foster care, relative caregiver program and family preservation.

Family Focused Solutions provides counseling services to Tennessee's Families First participants. Through a strengths-based, 2 generational, and trauma informed approach, our five Masters level counselors empower clients for occupational, relational, and emotional success. We provide individual counseling, family counseling, parenting classes, life skills training, FLEX (Forming Lasting Employment Skills), self-advocacy training and case management to address these barriers that prevent self-sufficiency. Working within the Department of Human Services of nine surrounding counties our ultimate goal is to partner with Tennessee families to empower them towards sustainability and improved quality of life.

TN Voices is a statewide and national source of referral, support, and advocacy for families and the systems that serve them. They have a large section of parent training options! TNV has reached more than 50,000 parents / caregivers, family members, and professionals.
TN Voices offers Counseling/Therapy services for kids, teens/young adults, adults, and families. Therapy can be extremely helpful for anyone struggling with emotional difficulties, mental health concerns, academic challenges for students, or even just life challenges. They provide counseling services for children (4+), adolescents, young adults, parents, caregivers, and families.

Victoria Davidson specializes in play therapy to help children express what is troubling them when they are unable to do so verbally. Through play therapy, children can communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways to relate to others. Although beneficial to everyone, play therapy is especially appropriate for children ages 3 through 12. Children whose problems are related to life stressors, such as divorce, death, relocation, hospitalization, chronic illness, stressful experiences, physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, and natural disasters benefit from play therapy.
