Dr. Mark Jennings and Dr. Ken Pittman are Pediatric Psychiatrists and founded Agape Youth Behavioral Health in 2013. They see patients with ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions. Agape now has several other providers, including therapists and medical staff. They are in network with most insurances, although this varies by provider. Contact them for more information on insurance and payment options.

Anna Shaw Children’s Institute provides evaluation, diagnosis and ongoing care for children from birth to 11 with developmental delays and the behavior associated with those delays. Their Board Certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians serve children with attention disorders, Autism spectrum disorders, behavioral issues due to developmental delays, behavioral and developmental challenges due to pediatric chronic illnesses (genetic disorders, epilepsy, prematurity, diabetes, asthma, cancer), developmental delays in speech, language and thinking ability, habit disorders, learning disorders, motor skill delays related to other conditions, regulatory disorders, and visual and hearing impairments.

Health Connect's Psychiatric Clinical Services provides clients with a psychiatric assessment and medication management. Clients have a case manager who follows clients as they transition through other programs at Health Connect America to ensure coordination of care. The case manager facilitates appropriate referrals for long-term follow-up and maintenance of the client’s behavioral health. Click here for more information.

The following medical services are provided:

Outpatient Services Medication Management - Psychiatric medication services provide an initial psychiatric evaluation and ongoing pharmacotherapy. Clients are seen at least once every two to three months to review current mental health and medications. All forms of TennCare, Cover Kids, and most Commercial Insurance Policies are accepted.

Health Link – Provides comprehensive healthcare services for those individuals who are at a higher risk for intensive mental health services and chronic health conditions. Only clients with TennCare are eligible for this service, and there is various eligibility criteria.

Behavioral Health Safety Net – Helps to provide mental health treatment to individuals who have no access to health care due to lack of health insurance. Provides outpatient medication management, community-based case management, and individual therapy services. The program also assists participants in obtaining their medications via Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs.
Eligibility: Axis I Mental Health Diagnosis, Household Income at or below 100% Federal Poverty Level, Tennessee Resident for the past 6 months and United States citizen, Lack of TennCare or commercial insurance coverage (Medicare coverage is acceptable), No access to VA benefits, the individual is not currently an inmate.

Walk-ins are accepted at the Mental Health Cooperative. Their multidisciplinary staff work with people who have TennCare, and often are able to serve people who do not have insurance. One requirement is that client must require or qualify for a case manager. They have a psychiatrist on staff who provides medication management. They also provide counseling services, behavior management assistance in the home, help families understand or find eligibility benefits and financial supports, provide assistance with school meetings and other appointments as well as school consultation.

Orange Grove Center offers comprehensive primary care services to individuals with disabilities. Eligible patients are those who are supported by Orange Grove in group homes and/or day programs, as well as individuals with disabilities in the surrounding area who may have no formal association with the Center. Health Services clinic is a Primary Practice serving individuals 17 years of age and up. It provides primary care for older teens/young adults who need to transition from pediatrics to adult practice. Very flexible and family-friendly! They are in network with Medicare, All TNCare, Railroad Medicare and most private insurers.

The Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics specializes in the care of children with developmental disabilities. Their team provides evaluation of a child’s functioning in numerous areas including their development, social skills, learning, behavior, and daily living activities such as eating and sleeping. The Speech Language Reading Center / Chattanooga Dyslexia Center provides evaluations and interventions for children and young adults in the Chattanooga area. The Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide a comprehensive evaluation to determine the underlying cause of their difficulties in areas including articulation, language processing, expressive language, reading accuracy and comprehension, and social skills. The Psychological Examiner/School Psychologist provides in-depth testing for students (1 st grade through college level) to evaluate cognitive and academic abilities and determine eligibility for gifted, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, and ADD/ADHD. The SLPs are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. The Psychologist is not in-network with any insurance.

Urgent Care for Children is a sensory inclusive pediatric urgent care facility. All Urgent Care for Children clinics have sensory accommodations for patients who respond well to a quieter, more secure environment including sensory bags and a mobile sensory unit. Urgent Care for Children’s team of pediatricians, nurse practitioners and medical professionals have been trained to respond to pediatric patients with sensory needs and adapt their approach to treatment accordingly. VIM provides FREE Primary Care medical services. Patients receive care at no cost to the individual, much thanks to the generosity of our community support from foundations, churches and individuals.
