Partners in Policymaking Leadership Institute

March 29, 2019

Partners in Policymaking is the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities' FREE leadership and advocacy training program for adults with disabilities and family members of persons with disabilities.  This training provides the opportunity to learn from local and national experts about state and federal legislative processes, inclusive communities and classrooms, proven practices in housing and employment, assistive technology, and strategies for advocates and self-advocates.  The graduates of this intensive program have gone on to advocate for themselves, their family members, and the disability community at large, and to influence policies on the local, state, and national level. This program takes place over seven weekends throughout the year at a hotel in middle Tennessee.  There is no cost for the training, sleeping rooms, or meals and you will be reimbursed for mileage costs.  Click here for the online application and go here to print a copy of the application.  Please note that all applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2019.  For more information, email Ned Andrew Solomon or call 615-532-6556.
