CAC now offers occupational therapy with primary goals of targeting fine motor and visual motor skills, functional play skills, sensory integration, ADLs, and emotional regulation and social skills for neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals.

Anna Shaw Children’s Institute will offer a comprehensive outpatient pediatric therapy program for children from birth to 11, led by Occupational, Physical, Speech/Language and Music Therapists. Services provided by members of the Children’s Institute Team will include Aquatic Therapy, Assistive Technology, Oral Motor/Feeding Therapy, Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Music Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Associates in Pediatric Therapy

Foundation Physical Therapy, PLLC

Foundation Physical Therapy has experience working with a variety of patients, disabilities, and diagnose. Foundation Physical Therapy offers occupational, physical, and speech therapy, along with movement therapy and family counseling and educational sessions for improved harmony within the home. There is currently no waitlist. They provide family support and education for improved carry over of learning and improved harmony within the home by teaching life-long strategies to decrease triggers that create unwanted behaviors. The Fun in Function helps kids look forward to their occupational and speech therapy sessions. Their goal is to engage kids and make the process fun so that each client's maximum growth can be achieved. The clinic location is in Chattanooga and teletherapy services are also offered. As of February 2021, private insurances accepted are BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, Aetna, and TriCare East. They also accept BlueCare and UHC Community TennCare plans. DAY SERVICES:

Individuals in the region who have disabilities can apply to participate in the Life Bridges Day Program. Life Bridges staff get to know the individuals they support; learning their interests and goals, and helping them find activities. Outings and activities focus on a variety of skill building and exploration activities; including volunteering, learning about jobs and focusing on pursuing interests and building independence. Life Bridges also works with ECF Choices to help adults who are interested in pursuing a job in the community. Their employment support staff focus on identifying interests and skills and using them to discover a meaningful workplace. The person is supported in learning the skills necessary to interview for a job, learn on the job skills, and how to approach any workplace problems as they arise.

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES:

Life Bridges has four ICF/IID homes that serve individuals with Intellectual disabilities and other disabilities who may be medically fragile and/or behaviorally challenged. Programming is tailored to the needs of the individual and is provided on a 24/7 basis. Supports include nursing, therapies and active treatment.

THERAPIES FOR ADULTS:

Therapies include occupational therapy, physical therapy and ABA therapy. Their clinic also has a nutritionist and 2 medical practitioners.

Orange Grove Center is a community based non-profit agency offering the full array of services for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities across the lifespan. They are a fully certified school affiliated with the Hamilton County Dept of Education. They provide full therapy services including occupational, physical, and speech therapies. Pediatrics Plus is a full service pediatric Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy provider. They treat a wide variety of diagnoses. There is currently not a waitlist. The Speech and Hearing Center provides pediatric physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapies, as well as hearing testing and hearing aids. Their speech pathology department offers a variety of services, including: screenings for children 5 years and under, comprehensive speech-language evaluations, voice evaluations and fluency assessments, individual and group therapy for speech-language. Their summer therapy services align with your child’s IEP to help prepare your child for the upcoming school year and combat summer regression.

The Speech Language Reading Center / Chattanooga Dyslexia Center provides high quality, individualized communication and reading intervention to children and young adults in the Chattanooga area. They are committed to providing their clients with the tools they need to effectively interact and communicate with others and to lead enriching lives. The Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide a comprehensive evaluation to determine the underlying cause of their difficulties. They provide therapy for a wide range of skills including articulation, language processing, expressive language, reading accuracy and comprehension, and social skills. Most of the SLPs are trained in the Lindamood Bell programs (www.lindamoodbell.com). One SLP is a certified NeuroNet provider (www.stepuptolearn.com). The Psychological Examiner/School Psychologist provides in-depth testing for students (1st grade through college level) to evaluate cognitive and academic abilities and determineeligibility for gifted, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, and ADD/ADHD. The SLPs are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. The Psychologist is not in-network with any insurance.

Stellar Therapy Services provides Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy services online as part of their Virtual Clinic.
